Dear Stacy:

It is awful to dread the breaks, but for what it's worth I understand a lot of parents of typically developing kids do, too. Remember that Staples commercial of a few years ago? A gleeful dad was back-to-school shopping with his two glum kids while "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"? I loved that, and now I live it.

Thanks for listening.

Jeff and Jill... thanks for the laughter! That was a fun post. We "hate the breaks" in our house too! Summer break is coming and I am dreading it. 2 years ago we moved to a rural area (from the Chicago area) that does not have any summer programs for kids, beyond summer camp that teaches how to hunt and fish (ummm-vegetarian here!). I do not feel comfortable giving Paige a gun or a rod!

Can't wait for the next post from you two!!
